Whew! I will admit I didn't see a 38-0 victory coming today. I texted one of my friends this morning and gave him a final 24-21 predictions about an hour before gametime. With so much on the line, I thought UVA would show up, hit a few big plays, and jump out to an early lead. Instead, the Hokies absolutely dominated. The defense bent but forced enough turnovers and dialed up enough heat to ensure the shut out. All in all, it was nearly a flawless performance by the Hokies when they needed it the most. Tech will now travel to Charlotte next weekend to play the Clemson Tigers.
Now that the rivalry game is out of the way and the Hokies have emerged victorious for the 8th straight year, it's time to have some fun at UVA's expense. Let's go to the UVA message boards for some much needed, logical commentary on today's game.
Hoos your daddy? Hoos your daddy? In all honesty, UVA didn't play terrible they just didn't execute in crucial situations. That turns a close game into a blowout and that's what happened today. But yes, we do own you.
No we asked, but all we heard back was how "great Mike Rocco is" and how "VT is never going to stop Perry Jones" or how "Mike London killed that stripper." Ok, that last one I made up but we really did ask.
Stefon Diggs was seen in our locker room after the game but I wouldn't say you all are posers. Pretentious shitheads, yes but posers, no. You have to actually act like you're good and up to this week that hasn't happened. Maybe one day, you can reach the level of poser but that day could still be years off.
And every year, at this time, think about what this conference would be like without us. Hello MAC East.
Yea, like, what is so up with all of these kids having moms? That's so strange.

Sp Diggs really is interested
That is awesome about Diggs…I really hope we can land him since everything I have heard about Jones has him going to SEC
Diggs has always liked us but he’s been all over the place in his recruitment. We’ll have a shot since he’s such close friends with Kendall Fuller and his family. We’ll see. Hopefully we can land him.
Great news! I’m glad Diggs is interested in us. Let’s make this happen. I just hope this won’t push away Joel Caleb though.
What is our head recruiter J.C. Coleman up too? Also havent heard much from Cornell Brown in regards to recruiting
Were in Cyrus Jones top 3 so we’ll have to see if JC Coleman worked on him enough to come to Va Tech
Just saw that Diggs canceled his visit to Auburn. This could be a good sign.
I think Auburn is going to be a one year wonder…there is no way they can hang with LSU and Alabama in the future.

Cyrus jones, Joel Caleb, Korren Kirven, Stefon Diggs, and Ken Ekanem, i think the VA boys are a lock unless meyer convinces Caleb and ND steals Ekanem, i cant see diggs or kirven goin to auburn, and i think we land either or diggs and jones, if we get jones on campus again, he cant be happy with the auburn loss, as yu see diggs was dissapointed, kirven doesn’t wanna play for a auburn team that is always in the shadows of bama, and ken wants o stay home, and i think caleb is just snoozing around wit 5 free visits but he sticks wit us i think. anyone agree that this class could be alot better than we thought, and still a very slight chance we get hamilton on campus for an OV
I don’t see Diggs coming here. I do think he likes the Fullers and is friends with Kendall but I honestly think he ends up down south somewhere. But, who knows. Crazier things have happened but I can say for sure that we are not the leader in that race. We might not even be in the top 3.
As for Jones, I have a feeling we’ll end up no. 2 behind Alabama. I don’t think he’ll visit again, which will hurt us. Just gotta hope he holds off long enough for us to have an in-home visit. If that goes well who knows.
I still like where we stand with Caleb, Kirven, and Ekanem. I’d focus on those three for now. Anybody else would be the icing on the cake for this class.
So how cool would this be- (and yes there is .00001 % chance of this happening) we get diggs, Caleb, ad jones. Then TJ Milweard sees the type of receivers we just got, decommits from asu and comes to tech.
ASU just fired their coach.
That was expected honestly. Erickson is terrible. But, I don’t think going to Arizona State was TJ’s decision. I think he wanted to come to Tech but other influential factors decided against that. I wouldn’t expect anything to come of this.
so we’re not in Diggs top 8, but UVA is, that’s weird
