Well either Vegas must not think BC is much better than Duke, because the Hokies are only favored by 3 points more over BC than they were over the Blue Devils. Vegas does like the home field advantage of Lane Stadium - I've heard its worth as many as 5 points in many betting odds. Of course you would think Vegas might want to adjust to our failure to cover their spread last week.

Virginia Tech a two touchdown favorite over Boston College at home frankly sounds about right to me. But as Frank Beamer pointed out on Tech Talk Live, they've beaten us in 3 out of 4 regular season games. They are simply a pain in the rear to play.
College football lines start to make more sense this time of year as teams settle in and the odds makers get a better feel for how teams perform. Other lines that look interesting:
- Virginia -6.5 vs Indiana. Would you have given 6.5 points to any team vs UVa before last week?
- Florida St -2.5 vs Georgia Tech. I'm hoping GT pulls it off, as it will make next week's VT vs GT game bigger.
- Auburn -3 at Arkansas. Auburn has been a surprise, especially on offense. We'll find out a lot on Saturday.
- Texas -32 vs Colorado. Man, that CU program has fallen a long way.
- Iowa -8 over Michigan. That's a line that says Iowa is a top 5 team.

Virginia Tech Football Players in the Canadian Football League
As part of a business dinner conversation with a customer from Canada, I mentioned that I was a Virginia Tech fan. To my surprise, he mentioned some of the players in "his" league, the CFL, were from Virginia Tech. I decided to follow up with a little research. Here's what I found.
