Finding and Buying Virginia Tech Football Tickets

I’m currently looking for 4 tickets to the Virginia Tech vs Duke football game. I have some good friends going down to Miami who are looking for the same for Thursday’s Virginia Tech vs Miami game. Where’s the best place to find them? Well the internet has changed the way most people get their game and event tickets, including me.

In the past, I used to drive to Blacksburg and plan on working the tailgate for tickets or just buying them at the gate outside Lane Stadium, where there are almost always tickets available. Now that sort of last minute ticket anxiety is no long necessary thanks to online ticket brokers and other means.

First off, their are ticket exchange forums. The subscriber ticket exchange forum at techsideline.com is great, but you have to be a member and its mainly a place for alums to exchange tickets at face value or below. But I’ve had great success getting tickets there, and they are usually from season ticket holders with great seats.

Another great place is eBay. While there are many ticket exchange websites out there, the world’s largest online exchange still is a powerhouse for finding tickets. The selection is great, which is part of why this blog has a page in its Hokie eBay store that filters only Virginia Tech tickets. You can view the listings and use the search box to find Hokie tickets on eBay for the event you want. Once you click a listing, you’ll need a free login for eBay, which everyone should have anyway.

As mentioned, the ticket exchange websites are great options too. Check out StubHub.com, a national ticket exchanges for all types of events including college sports. Also Fanprice.com, another ticket exchange which works a little differently. Here buyers can make offers for seats before seller’s post their tickets (somewhat like the ticket exchange forums).
