Usually come Wednesday or Thursday, I start wondering what college games are on TV this weekend. I need to start planning my Saturday around the standard time blocks: 12 noon games, 3:30 games, 7 - 8 pm game blocks. Which time blocks have the best games I want to see? When do I need to plan to get house chores done? Are my kids soccer games going to conflict with key match ups? What role is my TiVo going to play? Should I plan tailgate food around lunch, dinner, late night snacks?
Proper planning is essential.
There are likely hundreds of sites out there that have TV listings for college football games, but here are the ones I bookmark and go to come Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and usually one last time on Saturday morning over cornflakes. Note for some of these links you may have to choose a date once on the page.
collegefootballnews.com/tvlistings - this is my favorite college football site, so no surprise they have the best TV listing page. Its not fancy, it merely lists every game on every network by date.
espn.com/espntv/espnGuide - of course since the 4 letter network (along with ABC) is the major carrier of games, checking their guide site gives you the latest on the feature games (you do have ESPN GamePlan, don't you??)
sportsline.com/tvlistings- this is the CBS Sportsline TV listing site, but the nice feature here is you have a link from each game to its 'GameCenter'. This is an awesome way to follow a game online. Got something riding on that WAC game that isn't on TV in your area? Use GameCenter to follow it play-by-play.
sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008tvschedule- another clean, schedule page across all networks.
